are these tools ready for primetime?

I love the look, the size and the feel... the operation of DSLR's on set, though, is clumsy and even awkward.  Sure there are tools that will make things easier the Zacuto's Z-Finder (this is amazing actually!) and things like cages, follow focus units, etc.

I am wondering if these tools are ready for prime-time, as the A camera?

the coolest DSLR I've played with

Nikon D7000
Yay! I love it when I get to not only play with new toys but actually own them.  So last year I decided to take the DSLR plunge and bought the Nikon D60. Why did I choose Nikon over Canon or any other manufacturer? Well, quite simply, it's what my Dad used and my sister also had one. My Mom owns a Canon that I also really liked. But my Dad also donated his lenses to me so I decided I had several lenses that I could play with.

My Gear

It's meant to merely to show you that I accomplish some high end video production and here's what I'm using. If I've included links, where I can, it's for more info. It is possible that some links may go to stores where you can buy stuff so if you like any of, and purchase using my links, I may make enough money to buy an ice cream for my children...
