Recently I wrote a blurb on the Craft of Editing. As I was thinking about what i wrote I thought I should also touch on the gear needed to accomplish these tasks. Let's go back a bit and have a discussion on how it used to be:

In an interesting turn of events, Red has decided to follow another company. If you've been following Red since they burst onto the scene several years ago you know they are unique in many ways, especially when it came to their products but also in terms of their competition.

The craft of editing video/film/whatever you want to call it, is a skill. The operation of a non-linear editing system is one thing but what about the craft? How do you learn what makes a good edit and what doesn't? I don't know if I have the answers but I've cut many projects, with about 65-70% destined for broadcast.

So just because I've listed my gear on this page it doesn't mean it's the best of the best or that you'll even like it. It's meant to merely to show you that I accomplish some high end video production and here's what I'm using. If I've included links, where I can, it's for more info.
